Softball City
Softball City is operated by Canadian Amateur Sport Society (CASS), a not-for-profit organization whose vision is to provide softball opportunities for all ages and abilities. CASS was appointed by the City of Surrey to operate the facility in 2017.
For nearly 3 decades, CASS has been hosting the Canada Cup International Softball Championship (also known as the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship). This event is an annual international softball competition that hosts 5 divisions – women’s international and U19A/U19B/U16A/U16B female softball teams. Every year, over 100 teams attend from around the world to play in this prestigious event. CASS also hosted the 2016 WBSC Women’s World Softball Championship as well as the 2019 WBSC Women’s Softball Olympic Qualifier.
Our Society is always looking for the next major event that can be hosted and showcased at Softball City. In 2021, we are looking forward to hosting the Softball Canada Men’s and Women’s Canadian Slo-pitch Championships.
