Giveaway Rules and Regulations

The following are the rules (“Rules”) for the Softball City Facebook Giveaway.

1. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Giveaway, entrants must be legal residents of British Columbia, be of the age of majority or older at the time of entry. Employees of Softball City and its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway.

2. PRIZE PICK UP

The Giveaway prize must be picked-up from Softball City, Surrey. Softball City WILL NOT mail or deliver the giveaway prize. 

3. HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, entrants must like and comment on the Softball City post with an appropriate answer to the giveaway question as determined by a Softball City representative. The Giveaway shall run on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 8:00am-11:59pm. (the “Giveaway Period”) after which time no further entries will be considered.

4. SELECTION OF WINNER

Upon completion of the Giveaway, a Softball City representative shall review the answers submitted and choose a winner at random. The potential winner will be contacted by private Facebook message and will have 24 hours to respond and provide their contact information. If a selected potential winner does not respond in the allotted time, another potential winner may be selected at Softball City’s sole discretion.

5. PRIZE[S]

There is one Prize Bundle available to be won. The approximate value of the prize is one hundred and Thirty dollars (CDN$130).

The Prize is not transferable and not redeemable for cash, will not be extended under any circumstances and must be accepted as offered without substitution.

6. GENERAL

By participating in the Giveaway, you agree to abide by these Rules and the decisions of Softball City which shall be final and binding in all respects. Entrants who have not complied with these Rules are subject to disqualification.

Notwithstanding the defined Giveaway Period, Shaw reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Giveaway, in whole or part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Giveaway, and/or these Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.

Personal information collected during the course of the Giveaway shall be used by Softball City and its authorized representatives solely for the purposes of conducting the Giveaway and awarding prizes, and will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose unless required by law. Softball City will use the entrant’s personal information only for identified purposes.

By participating in the Giveaway, the Prize Winner(s) agree(s) that his/her name may be used in any and all forms of media, without any further compensation by Softball City and waives all rights (including moral rights) with respect to printed, broadcast and other forms of publicity.

In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the Facebook account associated with the entry. “Authorized account holder” of the Facebook account is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a Facebook account by Facebook.

The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook and any personal information provided by an entrant is being provided to Softball City and not Facebook.

The Giveaway is subject to all applicable laws of the province of British Columbia.
